Featuring Leigh Allen & Chuck Scully talking about their Oklahoma Tornado Relief Trip

August 23, 2013

LISTEN with the audio player at the bottom of this post.

Leigh Allen and Chuck Scully step up and go to disaster sites to assist people in times of great need.

Our conversation about their trip to Oklahoma after the May 2013 tornado is inspiring and challenging.

The tornado that ravaged the city of Moore on May 20th was a category  F5 with winds reaching 210 MPH.

It was on the ground for 39 minutes and cut a path 17 miles long and 1.3 miles wide killing 23 people and injuring 377 more.

I met Leigh at Lexington Toastmasters and followed her Tornado Relief Trip posts on Facebook. I found them to be inspiring.

Chuck was a Team Leader on their trip to Oklahoma. The team included 42 members.  He has found his life’s work in the relief field. It is his ministry.

Leigh has know since she was a little girl that she has a heart for this type of mission work, and she is dedicated to continuing it and inspiring others to take those steps into the unknown and make a huge difference.

Chuck invites you to contact him through his facebook page. He will gladly meet you at Quest and help you determine how you can become involved.
